We actually have developed a web service API for access to geocaching data. There are already several companies working on GPS enabled cell phone applications that use this data. If there are other ideas we're always open to suggestions.

You are correct, however. We do provide GPX (XML) data via Pocket Queries which developers are already writing applications (like the Geocaching Swiss Army Knife). Our API was actually designed with the Premium Member in mind to allow individual developers (and users) manipulate that data through their own applications. We're still in the process of testing them but this is our eventual goal.

There is a private API and it is available for trusted partners. We have no plans to offer an open public API at this time. It was considered in the past but the current decison is to keep it private.

Parece ser uma biblioteca em PHP que facilita a inclusão de informação sobre caches no teu próprio site.

Não li muito detalhadamente, mas parece usar formatos distintos dos suportados pela Groundspeak.

Então iam abrir mão do negócio assim, porquê? :-)
