É que só me aceita 1000 caches...

Existe alguma forma de as colocar no cartão de memoria ou algo do género?

De acordo com as especificações desse GPS o número máximo possível de waypoints carregados em mapas é de 1000. Assim, e que eu saiba não terás hipóteses de carregar mais que 1000 pontos.

No entanto 1000 waypoints é muita fruta! Descarrega as caches em torno do local para onde vais cachar.

Esses 1000 waypoints serão armazenados na memória interna do GPSr Garmin Etrex Vista HCx, e apesar de poderes colocar na memória externa outros ficheiros com waypoints em formato .GDB, estes não serão integrados nos mapas, pelo menos que eu tenha conhecimento.

Alguém sabe como editar os POIs no formato .GPI ???? E como lhe colocar uns icons associados?

Com o POI Loader da Garmin consigo enviar os POIS das caches que eu quero para o cartão de memoria do meu eTrex, so que acontece que nao ficam com o icon que eu pretendo...

POI Loader compiles .gpx (and also .csv files, I believe wink into .gpi format.

.gpi is the binary format that the Nüvi reads, in order to implement Custom Poi's and Travel Guides.

So if you been supplied with a .gpi file, you just copy it to the \Garmin\Poi directory on the Nüvi and omit the POI Loader step.

Portanto, creio que não será simples trabalhar directamente o .GPI, mas será trivial trabalhar o .csv para o POILoader.

Em tempos as Stats geraram ficheiros para o POILoader, a título experimental, mas como não os posso testar e não tive mais feedback dos resultados, desisti.
São simples de gerar, os .csv e para juntar ícones diferentes é só dividires como fizeste para os ficheiros do TomTom. Se houver interesse, pode-se ressuscitar esse formato.
